Aquifer Testing

  • Client: Purcell Rhoades Associates, Hayward, California
This project involved the detailed analysis of data collected from a pump test conducted in Lower Apanolio Canyon, a proposed extension of the BFI Ox Mountain Landfill near Half Moon Bay, California. The analysis of pump test data revealed the degree to which the shallow groundwater was hydraulically connected with Apanolio Creek. This information was necessary for the determination of any potential problems with future leachate migration.

  • Client: Aqua Science Engineers, San Ramon, California
This project involved the design of a pump test and the subsequent analysis of data in order to determine aquifer characteristics at a fuel leak site in Rohnert Park, California. The results of the study were used to assess the potential for any future off-site migration in the shallow groundwater, as well as to determine any hydraulic connection with the deep drinking water aquifer in the area.

  • Client: Metal Strapping Plant, Pittsburg, California
A Hydro Analysis principal planned and executed a hydraulic testing program for designing a groundwater extraction and treatment system for a xylene leak. Work included: coordinating several short- and long-term aquifer pumping tests, evaluating the resulting hydraulic data, and simulating the capture zone of various groundwater extraction system alternatives using an analytical groundwater hydraulic model.

  • Client: Converse Consultants, San Francisco, California
This project involved the design of a pump test and the subsequent analysis of data in order to determine aquifer characteristics at a fuel leak site in Morgan Hill, California. The results of the study were used to design an extraction system for the removal and treatment of groundwater contaminated by gasoline.
