Groundwater Monitoring

  • Client: City of San Leandro, San Leandro, California
Under contract to the City of San Leandro, this project involved groundwater monitoring at the location of the previous city corporation yard in San Leandro, California. In addition to purging and sampling all groundwater monitoring wells on the site, a re-survey of TOC elevations was conducted in order to re-establish wellhead measuring points following the previous site demolition activities.

  • Client: IBM Almaden Research Center, San Jose, California
A principal of Hydro Analysis designed and implemented the quarterly water quality monitoring program at a 600-acre facility. This program included groundwater and surface-water sampling, data evaluation, and preparation of quarterly and annual reports. Other work included: coordinating the geophysical logging of site monitoring wells o check for possible damage from the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake; supervision of the subsequent sealing and abandonment of a damaged well and the installation of it’s replacement; and performance of an in-depth geochemical investigation of the theoretical stability and potential sources of hexavalent chromium, which was detected in groundwater at the site.

  • Client: Various Clients
Over the past ten years, Hydro Analysis has been conducting quarterly groundwater monitoring at a large number of groundwater contamination sites in northern California. Monitoring wells are purged and sampled by Hydro Analysis personnel, in accordance with California State Water Quality Control Board and USEPA guidelines. Following the completion of the field work, samples are transported under chain-of-custody to a State-certified laboratory. The results of each quarterly groundwater monitoring episode are always presented in a signed report. Minimally, each report includes analytical results, documentation of sampling protocol and a groundwater table contour map, as determined by field water level measurements.
