    Indoor Air Quality

Client: Saint Mary’s College, Moraga, California
This project involved an indoor air study following an occurrence of "sick building syndrome" at the Filippi Building on the campus of Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California. The scope of work involved interviews with building occupants, long-term monitoring and analysis of ambient air for organic chemicals, spores & fungi, as well as long-term monitoring of ambient air for various physical parameters. The problem was linked to abnormally dry air caused by an improperly functioning air conditioning system.
Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan
  • Client: Sturdy Oil Company, Salinas, California
This project involved the design of a bulk fuel facility in Gonzales, California. In accordance with State RWQCB, Central Coast Region, requirements, a containment area was designed to eliminate any potential discharge to the waters of the State. Construction drawings were developed that included a concrete pad, concrete berms and a roof over the entire area.

  • Client: Kiewit Pacific Company, Concord, California
This project involved the preparation of a Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan for the construction maintenance yard at the Los Vaqueros Dam site near Livermore, California.

    Groundwater Modeling Review

  • Client: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Site 300, Livermore, California
A principal of Hydro Analysis reviewed the modeling efforts of other consultants regarding the transport and decay of tritium in groundwater. Tasks included: systematically evaluating the assumptions and input parameters used in the various groundwater models; and formulating recommendations for more accurately modeling the tritium plumes as well as strategic data collection to support refined modeling efforts.

    Stormwater Permitting and Monitoring

  • Client: Pacific Racing Association, Golden Gate Fields Race Track, Albany, California
This project involved the development of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) as part of the facility's EPA stormwater discharge permit requirements. The plan was based upon hydrologic analysis of runoff from the corporation yard and adjoining parking lots and included various site modifications within the corporation yard area with regard to spill prevention and containment. On-going work includes storm water sampling and subsequent reporting of laboratory analytical results.

  • Client: Kie-Con (Division of Kiewit Pacific Company), Antioch, California.
This project involved the development of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) for the Kie-Con reinforced concrete pile fabrication facility located in Antioch, California. The project has included sampling and analysis of stormwater discharge into the Carquinez Strait.
