Risk Assessments
- Client: Guidotti & Lee, Attorneys at Law, Orinda, California
This project involved the development of a risk assessment and subsequent request for case closure with respect to a fuel leak case at the Pacific Cryogenics facility in Oakland, California. The scope of work included: (1) an analysis of all data collected in terms of subsurface contamination beneath the subject property, (2) an assessment of the potential for impact upon beneficial uses of groundwater in the area, and (3) an assessment of the risk of future physical occupation of the subject property. The scope of work was consistent with ASTM Standard E 1739, Risk-Based Corrective Action Applied at Petroleum Release Sites.

This project involved the development of a risk assessment and subsequent request for case closure with respect to shallow groundwater contamination beneath a large-scale plating facility located in Concord, California. The scope of work included (1) an analysis of all data collected in terms of subsurface contamination beneath the subject property, (2) an assessment of the potential for impact upon beneficial uses of groundwater in the area, and (3) an assessment of the risk of future physical occupation of the subject property. Constituents of concern were chlorinated solvents (TCA, TCE, DCE, etc.).
